When creating recipes, pork recipes tend to be my last choice. I think it is because pork seems to be dry and boring in flavor unless you add BBQ sauce. There is nothing worse than a dry pork chop recipe. A great solution to dry pork is the Ninja Foodi pressure cooker. This recipe for Ninja Foodi Pork Chops with French Onion Gravy will be your go to recipe for a flavorful, juicy, melt in your mouth pork dinner in less than an hour.
Pork Chops In The Ninja Foodi
Why should you choose the Ninja Foodi Deluxe cooker when making pork chops? The simple answer is because of the pressure cooking feature. You can certainly use the air crisp setting, bake, or even broil them. The result will be a delicious pork chop especially if you wish to use breading. My personal preference is using the pressure cooking feature because the meat will be moist, juicy, and the flavor of the seasonings will meld with the pork while it pressure cooks.
How To Make French Onion Pork Chops in the Ninja Foodi?
This recipe could not be more simple.

For best results, I would recommend purchasing ribeye pork chops. They are a thick cut, meaty, and include some fat which will give the meat more flavor. If you do not wish to purchase ribeye style, I recommend boneless pork chops. Though I recommend a thicker cut, any cut of pork chop will work just fine, even a thin cut.
Place pork chops in the removable pot with a can of Campbell’s condensed French Onion soup. You need liquid in order to pressure cook. This can of soup will act as the liquid needed and will season the pork as it cooks.

You will use the pressure cooking feature of the Ninja Foodi. Place the pressure cooking lid on the Ninja Foodi and seal the vent. Leave it on high pressure and set the cooking time to 40 minutes.
While the meat is cooking, mix together 1/3 cup of parmesan cheese with 1/3 cup of sour cream in a small bowl.

After 40 minutes, quick release by moving the valve from seal to vent. This will let the remaining pressure and steam escape.
When the steam is completely released, remove the lid. Take the pork chops from the pot and place on a separate plate. Do not be surprised if they fall apart when removing them. They are so tender!

Add the parmesan, sour cream mixture to the liquid in the removable pot and stir to combine. Add the pork chops back to the liquid mixture and let set for about 5 minutes.

They are ready to serve. The sauce is absolutely amazing and these are the best tasting tender chops!

What Can I Serve With These French Onion Ninja Foodi Pork Chops?
The side dishes for the perfect pork chop are endless. Because the sauce is so flavorful and rich, the obvious choice is to place the pork chop over a bed of rice. If you are on a low carb diet, vegetables such as a steamed zucchini or green beans would be a great addition.
Ninja Foodi Frozen Pork Chops
What happens if you forget to take your pork chops out of the freezer? No problem! You can easily make this recipe with frozen pork chops. The difference between making this recipe with thawed pork chops and frozen pork chops is only the time pressure cooking. Add an additional 10 minutes if you pork chops are frozen and pressure cook for a total of 50 minutes.
Can I Make These French Onion Ninja Foodi Pork Chops Without the Ninja Foodi?
Yes! You can make these French Onion Ninja Foodi Pork Chops if you do not own a Ninja Foodi. I would recommend using either your Instant Pot (or any electric pressure cooker), oven in a baking pan with a lid, or a crockpot or slow cooker. This allows the pork chops to slowly cook allowing the liquid mixture and seasoning to fuse with the meat.
Using the Instant Pot
Since this recipe utilizes the pressure cooking feature of the Ninja Foodi, the recipe would remain the same if using an Instant Pot.
Using The Oven
To make these pork chops in the oven, follow the recipe by placing the pork chops and the condensed French Onion soup into an oven safe baking dish with a lid. Bake them at 350 degrees for about 2.5 hours. You will then add the parmesan, sour cream mixture to the liquids.
Using the Crockpot
Again, the recipe will remain the same. Add the pork chops and French Onion soup to the crockpot. Cook the meat on high for 5 hours or 7 hours on low. Add the sour cream and parmesan cheese mixture to the liquids after the cooking is complete.
In summary
I do not normally choose pork as one of my favorite meats, this tender pork chop recipe will change your mind. I have added this main course recipe to my weeknight rotation. It does not take a long time to make, uses simple ingredients, and is delicious. If you love tender, juicy, savory pork chops, I recommend this recipe for Ninja Foodi Pork Chops.

Hi Vincent,
I do not add water to the soup. The liquid of the soup will act as the necessary liquid for the pressure cooking.
I do not turn off the Ninja after releasing the steam. It will go to warm and do a countdown. This keeps the food warm until I am ready to serve it. Should you wish to turn it off, it would be completely okay to do so.
Thanks for commenting!
