Best Recipe For Shrimp Lovers

My husband is from New England but does not like seafood. I know, completely weird. Because of this, my son and I tend to get our seafood fix when my husband is working late or when it is just my son and I.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, my son and I have been spending an awful lot of time together. There have been times when his school shuts down due to a positive case. The best part of being home together is trying new recipes and even better is tasting them! This recipe for Ninja Foodi Shrimp Scampi was absolutely amazing. And let me assure you, it was completely simple to make.

The recipe only has a total of four ingredients. You will be using the sauté feature of the Ninja Foodi to make this recipe. If you have not bought a Ninja Foodi yet, what are you waiting for? This versatile kitchen gadget has replaced my stove and oven–even my BBQ grill.

If you do not have a Ninja Foodi, you can easily make this recipe in a skillet on your stovetop.

First, place 12 ounces of frozen shrimp into the removable pot. I buy them deveined and shelled from Walmart. They do still have the tails but other than that, they are ready to eat!

Place frozen shrimp into the removable pot

Cut 4 tablespoons of butter into four equal pieces and throw into the pot on top of the shrimp.

Add 4 Tablespoons of butter

Sprinkle the shrimp with about 1-2 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning. Cover the shrimp until they are red in color. If you get the low sodium Old Bay Seasoning you will not have to worry about making the shrimp too salty. Shake away. Don’t be stingy!

Sprinkle one half of a packet of Italian dressing seasoning on top. This is the powdered seasoning mix used to make Italian salad dressing. This will add a zesty flavoring to the shrimp that will kick your taste buds into overdrive!

Set the Ninja Foodi to saute’. Using a plastic spatula, so as not to scratch the coating on the removable pot, stir occassionally.

Sauté shrimp with Old Bay, Italian dressing seasoning packet, and butter for about 15 minutes

The shrimp was ready in about 15 minutes. The shrimp will turn pink in color and will have a bit of a brown crispy look from being sautéed in the butter.

Serve with vegetables or on a bed of pasta.
