What cut of meat should I use?

The number one question I get when making this recipe is what cut of meat should I use? The answer is simply to use the cut of meat that you prefer. In my case, it is the cut of meat that is cost effective. I tend to compare meat prices and whatever is cheapest is what I use. In this case, the best choice was one pound of sliced eye of round. It is a great option because it is already sliced making it easy to shred.

What is eye of round?

According to Beefitswhatsfordinner.com, Eye of Round is “a lean, flavorful cut often used for roast beef at the deli. This cut can be roasted or slow-cooked at home for an everyday meal.”
