If you are reading this post, I can assume you wear a badge or love someone that does. I have been a law enforcement officer for over 25 years. I am a law enforcement wife. My father is retired from the job. I have loved my job, but also hated it. There have been stresses, but also countless rewards. I have struggled, I have cried, I have mourned, and I have made friendships and bonds that will last my lifetime.

Most importantly, I am a servant of God. Through the unique challenges of the job, my God has been my protector, my refuge, and my strength. I have turned to His word for comfort. God’s word promises us hope.

Bible Versus For Law Enforcement That Promise Protection

Law enforcement is a dangerous profession. It takes a special person to risk their life for their community. In my almost three decade career, I have seen my community as well as my country change. Though the respect for the police force and the badge we wear may not be evident, God promises police officers and deputy sheriffs protection.


Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Law enforcement officials see people on their worst day. You must constantly have your head on a swivel. Not only are you called to show the love of God to this crazy world, but you armed guards running toward evil.

When talking with my fellow brothers and sisters who have taken the oath to serve, they are discouraged. They no longer feel appreciated. They do not feel as if governing authorities as well as the public respect or support them. Many times, they are fearful for their futures.


When you are struggling, when you feel overwhelming stress, God is with you!
