Easy Peach Cobbler Made With Only Five Ingredients

Are you looking for an easy peach cobbler recipe using less than 5 ingredients? Do you have a peck of peaches and need a simple, yet delicious recipe to satisfy your sweet tooth? This amazingly straightforward recipe can be made using canned peaches or fresh peaches. The recipe will take less than an hour and provides a delicious treat for the whole family.

Are you using fresh peaches?

Don’t these peaches look amazing?

If you are using fresh peaches, you will need to cook the peaches and create a syrup. This does not take a lot of time or effort.

Step 1: Many people recommend peeling the peaches first, however I did not do this and the cobbler still tasted amazing. Let’s face it, I am lazy. Peeling the peaches will be your personal preference. Should you peel the peaches, your peach cobbler will have a better appearance. The skin does look a little less appetizing when baked.

Step 2: Cut up the peaches removing the pits. I sliced the peaches very thin, however you again can cut them in any fashion you see fit.

Step 3: Add the cut peaches, one cup of sugar, and a 1/4 teaspoon of salt to a saucepan. Cook on medium heat for approximately 15 minutes. The peaches will soften, the sugar will dissolve, and a syrup will be created in the pan.

You are now ready to move on to putting your cobbler together.

Peach Cobbler Recipe

I used a 9×9 baking pan, however any size pan will work. The thickness of your cobber will be affected by the size of your pan. Should you wish a thinner cobbler, use a larger pan.

Ingredients:

-One large 28 ounce size can of peaches with heavy syrup OR approximately 4 cups of fresh peaches already cooked with syrup (see above)

-One cup of flour

-One cup of sugar

-One cup of milk. (I used half and half for a more rich taste. Honestly, it was what I had in the fridge to use with my coffee)

-One stick of butter

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Add the stick of butter to your pyrex 9×9 dish and place into the heating oven to melt.

While the oven is heating and the butter is melting, mix the dry ingredients together.

Next, add the milk to the dry ingredients and stir until mixed.

When the oven is preheated and the butter is melted, add the batter mix to the melted butter. Stir to combine.

After, layer the peaches on top of the batter. Do not stir.

You may sprinkler the top with cinnamon and sugar if you prefer.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Let cool and serve warm. This goes great with vanilla ice cream. I mean what cobbler is complete without ice cream? Am I right?

My finished product: You can see leaving the skin on the peaches does give it a less professional look.

Reheating Peach Cobbler

To reheat and serve leftover peach cobbler (if there is any left), we recommend doing so in the oven. While you can always reheat it in the microwave for a few seconds, the pastry portion of the cobbler will not be crispy and moreso soggy.

Instead, reheat the cobbler in the oven at 350 degrees. It should only take about 10 minutes.
